Job Summary:
Walker Volkswagen, a reputable dealership in the Auto industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Service Technician to join our team at our location in Metairie, Louisiana. This is a full-time, hourly position that offers opportunities for growth and advancement in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Volkswagen Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, diagnosis, and repair tasks on Volkswagen vehicles, ensuring the highest level of quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on Volkswagen vehicles according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in Volkswagen vehicles.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate assessments of repair needs.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve vehicle problems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the service area.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair recommendations and timelines.
• Keep up-to-date with Volkswagen technical training and certifications.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient service operations.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Volkswagen vehicles
• Must have strong mechanical and technical abilities
• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
