About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Government Affairs to play a pivotal role in advancing its mission at the federal, state, and local levels. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing strategic, policy, and operational initiatives from a government relations perspective, with a specific focus on the State of Pennsylvania. This includes the development of public policy positions, advocacy efforts, and the integration of these activities with the overall government and external affairs of the enterprise. The VP will also be instrumental in building and strengthening relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including elected officials, community organizations, and professional partners, to ensure a strong understanding of healthcare delivery issues and to support the company's mission. Applicants for the Vice President of Government Affairs position at the company should have a MHA, MBA, or JD, with at least 10 years' experience in government affairs. The role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively with management, physician leaders, and other internal stakeholders, and a proven track record in project management. The VP will be expected to lead advocacy initiatives, coordinate meetings with public officials, and supervise support staff. A strong background in community engagement, including collaboration on diversity and inclusion initiatives, is also essential. The ideal candidate will be adept at presenting concepts and ideas to various constituencies and will be well-versed in the legislative and regulatory processes that impact healthcare delivery.
