Job Opening: Traffic Control Agent at Charlotte International Airport Southeast Airport Services, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Traffic Control Agent at Charlotte International Airport in Charlotte, NC. The Traffic Control Officer's responsibilities include: Providing traffic control and enforcing parking regulations. Offering excellent customer service to the public and visitors. Interacting professionally as a representative of the Aviation Department. Essential Functions: Safely direct traffic around the airport. Respond to public service requests. Identify and report criminal activities. Assist customers professionally and anticipate their needs. Analyze situations and make decisions based on airport rules. Ensure compliance with parking ordinances. Assist during traffic accidents and special events. Monitor for security concerns or hazards. Maintain a focus on safety in all tasks. Communicate effectively, especially under high-stress situations. Position Requirements: Valid Security License (Guard Card). High school diploma or GED. Valid driver’s license with a good driving record. At least one year of customer service experience. Qualifications: Ability to communicate courteously with the public. Positive and safety-conscious attitude. Experience in customer-focused solutions and process improvements. Certification in First Aid or similar (training provided upon hire). Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including weekends and holidays. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must pass background checks, obtain an Airport ID badge, and pass a medical exam. Working Environment & Physical Demands: Wear PPE including uniforms and reflective vests. Stand and walk for extended periods, possibly 8-10 hours. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, with exposure to dust, dirt, and noise. Handle security and emergency situations appropriately. Participate in security and safety training programs. Meet licensing and permit requirements for Aviation Traffic Control Officers. Familiarity with airport operations manual and post orders.
