General Description:

The Administrator/Proctor is responsible for the administration of exams and providing specialized testing accommodation for all departments at Labouré College. The test administrator/proctors are individuals whose responsibility is to ensure academic integrity through careful test administration and monitoring. These staff members have unbiased relationships with students to ensure honesty and security of all exams.


Characteristics, Duties, and Responsibilities:
• Check e-mail daily to review potential needs for test accommodations as this position is paid on need and availability with no consistent or guaranteed schedule.
• Respond via written communication to confirm proctoring sessions.
• Review specific notes from instructor or Accommodations Coordinator regarding each test.
• Pick up testing materials if applicable (i.e., sign-in sheet, scrap paper, calculators, stress relieving items, etc.) from the specified area prior to proctoring beginning.
• Check in examinees and verify identification. Explain exam process, verify that testing area is clear of personal belongings, and monitors examinee during examination time.
• Report all exam discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner to instructors and Accommodations Coordinator
• Understand the uniqueness of each exam and request from instructor, therefore, understanding the requirements and allowances for examinees may be different between different exams.
• Maintain the testing area as to how it was found or better.
• Complete confidentiality and training as required periodically.
• **Proctor may complete quiet projects while proctoring, however, anything that makes noise is not permitted.

Qualifications:
• Must be able to provide availability and able to utilize the Labouré e-mail interface to approve of proctoring schedule.
• Must be able to interact with students in a positive and constructive manner.
• Must be able to work independently in a quiet environment.
• As students are testing, they may be stressed and therefore, this person should be able to ensure confidence and provide simple stress management techniques as needed.
