ISG is a 100% employee-owned firm and we have an opportunity available for a Structural Engineer to join our team and work collaboratively across our firm. As an Engineer, you will be an ISG Employee Owner working collaboratively with your fellow employee owners to develop creative solutions. In this role, you will work closely with Sam Brockshus, PE and Jason Burns, PE, along with the Structural Engineering team. ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Work closely on construction plans with clients, architects, and other engineering professionals.
  • Perform structural design and analysis calculations, generating drawings and other technical duties.
  • Calculate loads and stresses on different parts of a structure.
  • Inspect buildings and recommend options for repairs or demolition.
  • Monitor engineering design schedules and budgets.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering teams.
  • Field measure and document existing buildings.
  • Produce and coordinate construction drawings with other disciplines.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis, or Architectural Engineering.
  • 5+ years of expertise in building structural engineering.
  • Strong communication, report writing, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of the design standards and codes for public building design.
  • A high level of technical and organizational skill accompanied by strong oral and written communication.
  • Working knowledge of design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
