Position Summary and Objectives
Reporting to the site supply chain manager, this position is responsible for developing production and purchasing of materials plans that deliver targeted lead times, Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory levels and customer on time delivery service expectations.

This role requires a high degree of analytical capability, combining strategic and tactical skills to optimize the balance between customer expectations, inventory, manufacturing capacity, lead time, lot size, and other supply chain factors. It collaborates with customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, demand planning, distribution & logistics and suppliers.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities (Scope)
•Developing and maintaining production and material schedules that meet customer demand and ensure timely delivery of products.

•Based on demand forecast, re-order points or customers' orders, schedule production orders that optimize manufacturing sequence, product availability and that deliver against customer needs.
•Identify capacity constraints and in collaboration with manufacturing operations define a plan to resolve them.
•Maintain inventory, backorder, and service levels of purchased raw and manufactured finished goods vs. targeted performance.
•Manage daily MRP requirements for purchased components in support of the production plan, ensuring the timely supply of materials from vendors, proactively communicating any delays/shortages.
•Manage Inventory entitlement for Raw materials, WIP and Finish Goods.
•Maintain accurate material and vendor supply chain master data in SAP and other relevant systems as needed. (Material Masters, Vendor Info Records, Source Lists, Min/Max levels, Min Buy, Lot Size, Lead-Time, etc.)

•Ensure that customer requirements are met through monthly supply-demand balancing
•Maintain and report site level supply chain metrics (i.e. OTTP, LIFR, Backorders, Lead time, Inventory vs. plan), completing the appropriate RCCM (Root Cause Counter Measure) when deviations vs. target exist.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field is required.
•5 years of experience leading production planning in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years planning procured items. This experience can be concurrent.
•Experience using ERP systems (SAP software preferred)
•High proficiency with Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel charting, data sorting, filtering, pivot tables, look-up; macro-programming is not required)

•Ability to translate data into high-level analysis to facilitate decision making.
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.
•Must have a "customer first" mentality with the ability to improve internal & external client relationships.
•Proven understanding of inventory management process

Preferred Qualifications:
•APICS certification- Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
•Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
