Job Description

Our client's government services business, is one of the top providers to departments and agencies of the U.S. and British governments. Its successes include many large, first-of-a-kind projects in government site management, environmental restoration, defense, space, energy, and national and homeland security. Our client currently manages the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) project at Kennedy Space Center, FL. The ML2 project involves the design and construction of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) launch platform for the Space Launch System (SLS), an advanced launch vehicle that will fill America’s need for deep space missions. ML2 includes many different subsystems that must operate and fit within the constraints of the structure and provide a physical interface with KSC launch sites’ ground systems.

Position Summary
• Originate and check complex structural engineering deliverables, such as steel calculations, specifications and material requisitions.
• Reviews and coordinates technical documents with/from other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction.
• Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
• Manage specifically assigned project activities.
• Assist in constructability reviews.
• Support construction by dispositioning field change requests and nonconformance reports.
• Act as a mentor or coach for subordinate engineers and designers.
• Schedule and coordinate off-project review requirements for engineering deliverables.
• Lead and/or participate in technical discussions with client, suppliers, construction, etc.

Position Details:

  • Pay Rate / Range: $36.62- $79.18

The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position’s responsibilities; the candidate’s experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
