Senior Accountant and Client Services - HNW Family Office in Pompano Beach - $125-$150k +B and Company Paid Benefits

Salary : $125k-$150k bonus (commensurate with experience) plus bonus and company paid medical, dental, and vision benefits, and 401k with match

We are partnering with a prominent HNW Family Office in Pompano Beach to fill a client service and accounting role. This is a dynamic and broad role supporting the financial needs of a principal with a diverse real estate portfolio and other investments. The senior accountant will be the right-hand person to the firm’s Senior Operations professional, assisting with various aspects of financial administration and providing high-level support. The position spans accounting, treasury, tax and high level liaison work for the Principal. A warm yet serious-minded individual with strong communication skills, a high degree of discretion, and maturity will thrive in this environment.

The office offers quality of life hours and the ability to work one day per week remotely.

Responsibilities:

Financial Administration:

  • Manage accounts payable, credit card payments, and cash flow to ensure timely, accurate processing and proper reconciliation of expenses.
  • Handling of banking transactions, including wire transfers and account reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial management.
  • Prepare regular financial reports and tracking of investment portfolio collaborating with the internal finance team, outside CPA firm and investment partners.
  • Assist with tax documentation and compliance, coordinating with tax advisors to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting, ensuring adherence to budgets and anticipating future financial needs.
  • Administer personal insurance policies, handling renewals, claims, and liaising with providers for effective management.

Administrative Support:

  • Document management via SharePoint, ensuring that records are organized and up-to-date.
  • Support the principal’s diverse business and personal interests through administrative tasks and concierge services.
  • Assist with special projects as they arise, adapting to changing priorities.

Concierge and Liaison Responsibilities:

  • Act as a liaison between the principal and his community, handling inquiries and communications with professionalism and discretion.
  • Provide hands-on support for personal and business matters, requiring a flexible and problem-solving mindset.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role supporting UHNW individuals, with a strong background in accounting functions.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Office 365 suite, including SharePoint.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in tax compliance, budgeting, and investment reporting.
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with utmost discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
