This is a remote based opportunity working within our Evidera business. Position Overview: Independent principal investigator (PI) of projects responsible for overseeing all aspects of delivery of retrospective, cross-sectional, and/or prospective studies. This may include studies of existing databases and/or de novo data collection. Responsible for strategic consultation and for use of best methods to address research needs. Responsible for a large project portfolio. Innovates scientifically and produces output of high scientific quality. Assumes significant responsibilities for sales targets and client development. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Independent PI of a large portfolio of projects, responsible for overseeing all aspects of proposals and project delivery. Responsible for project completion and quality delivery. Delegate’s coordination tasks to mid-level and junior staff. Responsible for significant sales target, with accompanying expectation around client/business development. Provides strategic thinking around sales and commercialization of services. Makes substantial contributions to process improvements and product development. Identifies training needs for junior staff, helps to develop relevant training materials, provides recommendation on appropriate staff to lead trainings, and serves as hands-on mentor. Co-authors abstracts/articles for scientific publication or presentation at scientific meetings. Education, Professional Skills & Experience: Masters or Doctorate degree in epidemiology or related field, plus relevant professional experience in the health industry / consulting environment. Advanced understanding of statistics, quantitative methods in pharmacoepidemiology and/or related fields, and experience in practical research implementation. Computer software skills required: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Analyzes complex issues and evidence, identifies cause-effect relationships, and generates effective solutions. Proactive and positive approach to tasks and projects, as well as resilience when encountering process, project, budget or client changes that are inherent in the consulting environment. Evaluates, plans and accomplishes multiple work goals in a timely fashion. Delivers a positive internal/external client experience; listens and understands the client's needs, and provides solutions that meet or exceed client expectations. Desire and ability to guide and coach junior-to mid-to levels of scientific staff. Compensation And Benefits: The salary pay range estimated for this position Medical Affairs Senior Specialist II based in Maryland is $150,000.00–$170,000.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
