We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Purchasing Manager to join our Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities and establishing strategic purchasing processes and procedures. The role also involves maintaining relationships with suppliers while seeking out new ones. The Purchasing Manager will also be responsible for managing inventory and ensuring materials are ordered and delivered as required. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a significant impact on the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

1. Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies.
2. Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
3. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
4. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
5. Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
6. Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts, prices, timelines, etc.
7. Manage and control all the company’s external suppliers with particular emphasis on the purchase of Materials and finished parts for production.
8. Ensure parts and materials are bought at the most competitive price and delivered on time for production.
9. Regularly contact suppliers to renegotiate prices.
10. Responsible for managing inventory levels, schedules, and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
11. Collaborate with key persons to ensure clear communication of the company's procurement needs.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in supply chain management, inventory management, negotiation, cost analysis, materials management, and logistics management.
4. Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing management software.
7. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
8. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
9. In-depth understanding of the manufacturing industry and its supply chain processes.
