Job Description

The mission of the National Security Division (NSD) is to carry out the Department's highest priority: to combat terrorism and other threats to national security. The Infrastructure Support and Software Development Services division provides all IT services necessary to support the NSD's Infrastructure & Operations as well as Software Development, Engineering, and Service Desk.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for system operations inclusive of hardware, operating system (OS), and utilities for all storage systems. Responsible for configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, all versions and sub-version upgrades, and all aspects of the availability of the storage systems. Responsible for working with vendors as necessary to ensure proper functionality. Act as Tier 2 response in operations environment where resolution cannot be handled by on-site Tier 1 staff and where storage presentation or recovery is warranted. Provisions, Administers, Monitors, and Maintains current NetApp storage technologies. Provides professional service level and subject matter expert level design and testing of a new Lab/Development infrastructure and a new virtual desktop infrastructure. Assist with system operations inclusive of hardware, operating system (OS), and utilities on all Cisco UCS devices, to include Tier 2 support. Assists with provisioning, administering, monitoring and maintaining current Cisco UCS/VMWare networking technologies. REQUIRED: 7+ years of advanced IT experience with 4+ years advanced NetApp Administration experience Has expertise in multiple versions of the vendor's operating systems and storage sciences. Will possess expert level knowledge of integration and deployment best practices for NetApp technologies running Data On-Tap cluster mode operating system in FlexPod environments. 5+ years of extensive VMWare and UCS administration experience. Possess expertise in multiple system configurations and is responsible for configuration, patch management, troubleshooting, all versions and sub-version upgrades, and all aspects of the availability these systems. POSITION EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree preferred NetApp Certifications preferred VMWare or Cisco or CCIE certifications preferred SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a DOJ SCI WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Candidate must be able to function in general office environment.
