Pastor - Faith Baptist Church

General Qualifications:

Must be a called by God to the position of Pastor.

Must meet the qualifications of a “pastor” of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 according to the Holy Bible.

Must agree with and uphold the Constitution and Bylaws of Faith Baptist Church, Silver Springs, Nevada. Will be provided if contacted for an interview.

Must maintain a consistent habit of Bible study.

Prefer a degree from an accredited Bible school/seminary or equivalent experience.

Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation.

Specific Qualifications:

Must present pastor search committee with the applicant's testimony of salvation.

Must state in the resume the applicant's current church ministries and why the applicant is seeking a change.

Must state in the resume the applicant's preference for a specific Bible and if one is open to other reliable Bibles, and if so, which ones.

If applicable, the applicant's past two ministries and why the applicant left.

All other professional employment to date.

Must state in the resume the applicant's favorite area of biblical study.

Must state in the resume what the applicant's strongest people skill.

Must state in the resume whether the applicant consider oneself more of an introvert or extrovert and why feel that way.

Must state in the resume the applicant's interest and hobbies.

Must include with the resume and cover letter:

a. Two personal references

b. Two ministerial references

c. A copy of the current Constitution and Bylaws you currently minister under and

who wrote them.

Must include in the resume the “spiritual gifts” the applicant possess.

Faith Baptist Church is seeking:

1. A pastor that loves the God of the Holy Bible, His holy biblical words, the

body of Christ at Faith Baptist Church and is committed to shepherding this flock of

Christ in a manner that is pleasing to God.

2. A God-called pastor who will not change the direction of Faith Baptist

Church but will continue moving forward toward a more-Christ centered body of

believers without bringing in person-made rules to the governance of the church.

3. A pastor that will accept and execute the major responsibilities of:

being responsible for biblically shepherding families with an emphasis on

equipping, biblical edification and evangelism through outreach. Further, be

responsible for the general areas of ministry that include but are not inclusive of

oversight of all children’s ministries such as: adults, young adults, children’s Sunday

School, all adult ministries, Vacation Bible School, church nursery, Bible clubs and all

outreach efforts), development of youth ministries and all church related meetings,

events and outreach.

3. A pastor that will make every effort to present oneself as a living sacrifice for Jesus and set the example for the body of Christ at Faith

Baptist Church.

Additional job-related information:

1. This position is advertised as a bi-vocational Pastor

2. The current salary range for this position is between $2500 to $3000 a month.

3. The paid staff position of pastor does not come with benefits: no parsonage, no

insurance, no vehicle; however, the church van may be used for church related business.
