Title: Engineering Manager

Location: Lawrence, KS

DSJ Global is currently partnered with an industry leading plastic and packaging manufacturer who is looking to add an Engineering Manager to their injection molding division.

The Engineering Manager Will be Responsible for:

• Responsible for instilling a positive safety culture by ensuring their personal safety and the safety of other team members, including vendors and contractors.
• Leads & develops Engineering Team in all areas, including providing guidance, direction, and development to Engineers.
• Collaborates with other manufacturing managers and leadership to set and assess priorities across teams.
• Assesses cost effectiveness and feasibility of manufacturing processes; makes and implements recommendations to improve safety, efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provides guidance and oversight in development and execution of plant renovations and expansions; coordinates outside contractors and vendors.
• Assists other teams (production, maintenance, tooling, etc.) and/or other appropriate leadership with programs, activities, and responsibilities of those teams.
• Tracks cost savings of implemented projects and efficiency improvements
• Prepares and implements the capital budget.
• Performs annual performance evaluations of employees
• Respond to customer complaints and implement corrective / preventive action.
• Maintain and enforce all company safety, environmental and department of health requirements.

The Engineering Manager should have:

• Engineering degree or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ Years of large-scale manufacturing experience required.
• Working knowledge of injection molding equipment preferred.
• Prior experience in analyzing production and financial reports.
