Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front desk operations and patient care. Experience in medical imaging highly preferred, but not required.
This role is vital in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, from greeting patients to coordinating appointments, handling administrative tasks, and supporting the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner.
• Verify patient information and update records as needed.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including those for imaging services (X-rays, MRIs, etc.).
• Handle patient inquiries and provide information on services offered by the medical center.
• Coordinate with medical and imaging staff to ensure timely patient flow.
• Process insurance verifications and handle billing-related inquiries.
• Manage and organize patient files, ensuring compliance with medical record-keeping regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Assist in preparing imaging paperwork and ensuring proper documentation before procedures.
• Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate departments.
• Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
• Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
◦ Previous experience in a medical receptionist role is required.
◦ Experience in imaging or radiology departments is highly preferred.
Skills:
◦ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
◦ Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
◦ Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
◦ Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
◦ Knowledge of medical terminology, especially related to imaging services.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
Work Environment:
• This position operates in a clinical setting. The role requires regular interaction with patients, medical professionals, and administrative staff.

• Fluency in conversational English & Spanish
Work Schedule A
• Monday - Friday 10am - 6pm
• Occasional Saturdays Required
Work Schedule B
• Monday - Friday 2pm - 10pm
• Occasional Saturdays Required
