As the Sporting Goods & Firearms Manager , you’ll lead a team in providing top-tier customer service, ensuring compliance with firearm regulations, and driving sales in our sporting goods department. • Lead & Train – Supervise and mentor sales associates, ensuring they provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service.
• Sales & Customer Engagement – Assist customers in selecting the right firearms, ammunition, and outdoor gear while fostering a welcoming shopping experience.
• Compliance & Safety – Ensure all transactions adhere to federal, state, and local firearms regulations and store policies.
• Inventory Management – Maintain a well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing sales floor.
• Drive Results – Work toward sales goals and department growth while promoting promotions and special offers.
• Stay Informed – Keep up with industry trends, new product releases, and best safety practices to educate both staff and customers.

• Experience – 2+ years of retail experience, preferably in firearms sales, sporting goods, or outdoor equipment.
• Leadership Skills – Prior management or supervisory experience is a plus!
• Firearms Knowledge – Strong understanding of firearms, ammunition, and accessories (training provided as needed).
• Legal Eligibility – Must be of legal age to sell firearms in Arizona and meet all state and federal requirements.
• ATF Compliance – Ability to follow strict compliance procedures, including maintaining accurate records and ensuring all sales meet federal and state laws.
• NICS Process – Understanding of the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) or willingness to learn.
• Computer Skills – Must be computer literate and able to learn software associated with firearm sales and compliance.
• Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and maintain accurate records.
• Attention to Detail – Ability to ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain precise documentation.
• Physical Requirements – Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Schedule Flexibility – Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
