Substance Abuse Counselor Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field (Preferred)
  • Will consider Bachelor's degree LADC
  • Valid state clinical licensure, LCMHC, MLADC, LADC, LICSW, LMFT (Preferred)
  • Experience in substance abuse and mental health counseling in Detox, Residential, and/or Partial Hospitalization setting preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion
Substance Abuse Counselor Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the needs of individuals seeking substance abuse treatment.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide counseling services to individuals and facilitate group therapy sessions.
  • Address the unique needs and challenges associated with dual-diagnosis treatment and substance abuse recovery.
  • Offer education and preventive services to individuals and groups to promote substance abuse awareness and prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and documentation standards.
  • Work collaboratively with other counselors, healthcare professionals, and support staff to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
Schedule: FT (Days and one evening (12-8) shift)

Pay: $50,000-70,000

Location: Plymouth, NH
