Responsibilities:

The Individual Therapist conducts assessments, develops, and executes treatment plans, facilitates individual and group therapy, and provides clinical support to their assigned program as needed.

Essential Duties:

Facilitate individual and group therapies with young adults/adolescents within the framework of Newport Healthcare’s clinical model.
Complete risk assessment and initial safety plan upon admission, and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within timeline requirements.
Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with client's treatment team, with 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates.
Provide progress updates to parents in collaboration with family therapist.
Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide crisis intervention/management as needed.
Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress and group notes, discharge summary) timely and according to established standards.
Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
Attend meetings, trainings and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Pay range for this position is $68,688 to $91,306 depending on education and experience.
