Description: The Homeland Security Planner series includes Planner II, Planner III, and Planner IV. Responsibilities include facilitating meetings, preparing meeting materials, drafting reports, supporting plan development, creating presentations, conducting research, and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements:
Supervisory Responsibilities: Planner IV may include supervision of staff or project management.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Critical Thinking/Reasoning Ability: Working knowledge of homeland security principles and ability to analyze technical documents.
Computer Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe InDesign.
Quality of Work/Organization: Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to maintain accurate files.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Professional certification considered.
Physical Demands: Ability to sit, use hands, and occasionally operate a motor vehicle.
Work Environment: May require fieldwork and travel to various locations.

Planner II (Grade 6) - $66,422 - $96,512
Planner III (Grade 7) - $73,728 - $107,128
Planner IV (Grade 8) - $84,037 - $118,912
