Healthcare Data Analyst Location: Durham, NC Position Purpose: The Healthcare Data Analyst will gather and analyze healthcare data from multiple sources to extract trends and business insights. Translate findings into clear, compelling and actionable narratives to facilitate understanding and progress. Key Responsibilities: Understand healthcare landscape, trends, operations, systems, reporting, and advanced analytic tools; Work collaboratively with leadership and key stakeholders to identify areas of value, develop solutions, and deliver insights to reduce overall cost of care for members, improve clinical outcomes, and/or streamline processes; Extract, clean, and synthesize large structured and unstructured data sets from multiple data sources; Leverage data to identify patterns, glean insights and identify opportunities for targeting and optimization; Present and explain information in a clear, accessible way to internal and external audiences; Build models to evaluate potential future scenarios; Perform other duties as delegated; Employ information protection and information security techniques compliant with HIPPA and CCHN partners; Comply with Centene in NC firewall policy; Protect confidential and sensitive business information as an employee of CCHN; May require 5-15% travel; Specific to this role, the focus of the Healthcare Data Analyst will be to: Bring together cost, utilization, quality, and/or risk adjustment data to support holistic evaluation of provider performance; Help design, model, and track provider performance and incentive programs that drive quality outcomes for our members and financial outcomes for the company; Prepare and support presentation of materials detailing performance KPIs and root cause for joint operating committee (JOC) meetings with clinicians and practice managers; Interact directly with leadership and healthcare providers impacting our member population to devise strategies to improve quality, reduce cost, and increase efficiency. Preferred Qualifications: BS/BA in quantitative field (Health Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field) Proven experience as a Healthcare Data Analyst (4-7+ years) Proficient in SQL, analytics tools and visual presentation through BI (e.g. SAS, Tableau, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) Knowledge of health care, managed care, Medicare or Medicaid. Claims billing/coding & EHR knowledge preferred Understanding of healthcare processes and procedures Experience in data analysis and visualization methods Excellent analytical and communication skills Outstanding organizational and problem-solving aptitude Demonstrated success in leading analytics projects in a consulting environment Current state driver's license CCHN
