We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Environmental Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company adheres to environmental laws and regulations, while also implementing innovative strategies to reduce environmental impact. This position requires a deep understanding of environmental science, engineering principles, and the ability to apply them to real-world challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and manage plans and programs related to waste management, air quality, water quality, and soil quality.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop sustainable solutions for environmental challenges.
  • Design and optimize systems for industrial wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and waste disposal.
  • Prepare environmental impact statements and apply for necessary environmental permits.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plan.
  • Ensure compliance with the Coal Combustion Residuals (CCR) Rule.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
  • Provide technical support and guidance on environmental management and sustainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest environmental laws and regulations and ensure our company’s practices align with these standards.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental engineering, with a focus on industrial applications.
  • Extensive knowledge of environmental laws and regulations, including the SPCC and CCR Rule.
  • Proven experience in environmental auditing, environmental impact assessment, and environmental permitting.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and optimize systems for industrial wastewater treatment, air pollution control, and waste disposal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent analytical skills.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using environmental modeling software and other relevant tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Commitment to sustainable practices and a passion for environmental conservation.
