Overview
Reporting to the Vice President of Philanthropy, this position works to develop research and prospect strategies to build an effective pipeline of potential donors to Northern Arizona Healthcare. This position is also in charge of the Office of Philanthropy’s donor database and Raiser’s Edge NXT.

Responsibilities
Program Development
* Assist VP of Philanthropy and Office of Philanthropy team to develop and implement programs to support initiatives.
* Represent the Office of Philanthropy in meetings, conferences, organization orientations and events where necessary.
* Uphold established Office of Philanthropy (OOP) protocols related to donor records, including documenting interactions with donors and other organizations.
* Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by VP of Philanthropy and/or Chief Philanthropy Officer.
Research* Implement a comprehensive program of quality prospect research (biographic, financial, and philanthropic) to support cultivation and solicitation activity for OOP frontline staff and other NAH partners.
* Proactively manage alerts and other research tools to keep fundraisers up to date on major gift prospects (changes to wealth, employment, philanthropy, and other news).
* Develop and implement policies and standards for donor/prospect research projects.
* Work closely with leadership to maximize effectiveness of fundraiser portfolios.
* Lead portfolio review meetings, and assist frontline fundraisers in developing targeted strategies towards solicitation.
* Assist in developing and managing strategies for multi-year fundraising campaigns, including developing policies for prospect management, aiding in direct solicitation strategies, and partnering with frontline fundraiser in engaging individual or corporate prospects.
* Work with grants team to identify foundation and corporations with affinity to support healthcare initiatives
* Pull the daily census report and provide level one research to frontline team, highlighting any known entities
* Track and record all research in database, Raiser’s Edge NXT.
Database* Performs daily maintenance and enhancement of all donors, prospects and other sonstituent records using RE. Monitors and maintains the accuracy, integrity, and security of all data; persorms imports and exports; manage segmentation attributes and other data coding.
* Manage the assignment and reassignments, including prospect clearance of prospects and partners, ensuring that fundraising activity is successfully moving prospects through the fundraising cycle.
* Oversee all database activity to ensure that the database is kept clean and accurate.
* Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of pipeline activity and movement to drive strategic planning across OOP, including modeling and donor journey analytics.
* Develop dashboard, lists, and other methods of disseminating portfolio and other prospect reports to fundraisers on a real-time basis.
* Provide prospect management reports to OOP staff on a regular basis and facilitate updates to the database.
* Work with Donor Relations, Finance team member on database activity entry and procedures to ensure that the database is kept clean, accurate and up to date.
* Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis of pipeline activity and movement to drive strategic planning across OOP, including modeling and donor journey analytics.
* Develop dashboard, lists, and other methods of disseminating portfolio and other prospect reports to fundraisers on a real-time basis.
* Provide prospect management reports to OOP staff weekly and facilitate updates to the database.
* Pull and clean list for annual giving efforts, including mailings and annual reports, including quarterly donor list for various funds.
* Provide quarterly reports on grant activity and track impact reporting.
Compliance/Safety* Stays current and complies with state and federal regulations/statutes and company policies that impact the employee's area of responsibility.
* If required for the position, ensures all certifications and/or licenses are up-to-date and valid prior to expiration dates.
* Completes all company mandatory modules and required job-specific training in the specified time frame.

Education
Bachelor's degree - Required
Master's degree - Preferred
Certification & Licensures
Experience
2+ years’ experience in prospect research management in the nonprofit sector – Required
2+ years’ experience with CRM systems – Required
Experience with Raiser’s Edge NXT or other Blackbaud programs - Preferred
Campaign experience – Preferred
