The organization is built on a foundation of respect, advocacy, and a belief in the potential of every person. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute three established major annual fundraising events that engage the community and generate essential financial support. Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, volunteer management, and post-event evaluation. Provide support and guidance for third-party fundraising events, ensuring they align with The Arc Foundation’s mission and goals. Develop creative and inclusive event experiences that encourage participation and long-term donor engagement. Work closely with the Foundation Executive Director to ensure stewardship events align with overall donor engagement strategies. Organize and manage groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting events to celebrate new programs, facilities, and community partnerships. Coordinate logistics, speakers, and donor recognition to ensure these events are impactful and well-executed. Partner with marketing and communications teams to promote these milestone events and enhance visibility. Sponsorship & Donor Relations Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate sponsorships, partnerships, and in-kind donations to strengthen fundraising efforts. Develop compelling sponsorship proposals and steward relationships with business and community leaders. Foster meaningful, long-term relationships with donors, sponsors, and event attendees, ensuring they feel connected to The Arc’s mission beyond a single event. Budgeting & Reporting Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial goals are met while maintaining cost efficiency. Track and evaluate event and campaign performance, providing data-driven reports and recommendations. Work closely with finance and development teams to ensure accurate accounting of fundraising revenue and expenses. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event planning, nonprofit management, marketing, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising, special events, donor engagement, or stewardship. Proven success in executing large-scale events, securing sponsorships, and managing donor relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing sponsorship proposals and donor communications. Proficiency in event management software, donor database systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed for events.
