About you: As Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in leading the sales process, driving new business, and establishing SHR as a leading player within the hotel industry. With a deep understanding of the hotel distribution landscape and a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, you will contribute to the company's growth plans by identifying opportunities, formulating strategic sales initiatives, and building strong customer relationships.

Responsibilities: - Lead the sales process from identifying profiled targeted accounts to closing strategic opportunities within your defined region.
- Work with SHR's marketing team to build a solid pipeline of sales qualified leads.
- Exceed annual new business sales quotas across your assigned territory /prospect accounts.
- Identify, target, and close major revenue-producing independent hotels and hotel groups across your territory.
- Collaborate with peer Sales Directors across territories to develop the team
- Uncover integration and delivery requirements, agreeing on timelines for successful implementation.
- Work closely with our marketing team to formulate Account-Based Marketing initiatives (ABM) that support business growth plans.
- Engage prospective customers by presenting the solutions offered by SHR, fostering and continuous pipeline of opportunities within your assigned territory.
- Act as the primary point of contact for targeted accounts within the region, managing all pipeline activities and opportunities using Salesforce CRM tools.
- Collaborate with the wider sales team to develop sales tactics and share winning formulas.
- Own the contract process with prospective clients.
- Advocate for change and technology adoption, constantly learning and developing tech expertise.
- Translate customer needs into actionable business deliverables, working closely with engineering teams to clarify timelines and requirements.
- Facilitate the RFP (Request for Proposal) processes needed to drive successful sales outcomes.
Requirements
Required: - Minimum of 5 years of SaaS sales experience.
- Deep domain experience in the hotel/travel industry, preferably focused on the technology sector.
- Experience in electronic distribution (CRS, IBE), revenue management system. (RMS), customer relationship management (CRM).
- Business-to-Business Sales experience.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual base salary for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000, with additional On Target Earnings. On top of a competitive salary, you'll receive generous paid time off, medical, dental & vision insurance, plus a range of other benefits.
