We are seeking a talented and creative Digital Marketing Specialist to join our marketing team. As a key contributor, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing our content marketing strategy, elevating our social media presence and engagement, and supporting overall marketing operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of content creation, SEO, and social media efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

Content and SEO:

  • Develop engaging and compelling content, including ad copy, case studies, one-pagers, guides, reports, and other collateral that aligns with our brand voice and resonates with our target audience.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional team members to gather key information and insights to create high-quality content.
  • Assist in the creation of email campaigns and journeys, including copywriting and basic design as needed. Optimize email content for deliverability and engagement.
  • Contribute to website content updates, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and consistent brand messaging.
  • Lead content mapping and provide UX / landing page design suggestions for an ongoing website launch/rebrand (planned for completion by the end of the year).
  • Optimize WordPress blog articles for search engines, ensuring content is keyword-rich, well-structured, and follows SEO best practices.
  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify optimization opportunities for organic traffic growth (both new and existing content).
  • Identify opportunities on the website to implement content additions, enhancements, and SEO improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance using analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMRush, etc.), making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Social Media:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with SteelCo Buildings' brand voice and goals.
  • Create a social media calendar that includes posts, campaigns, and content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Research and stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and relevant hashtags to incorporate into social media strategy.
  • Design and create engaging, high-quality graphics, videos, and written content for various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).
  • Write compelling captions, post descriptions, and calls to action that encourage engagement and drive traffic to the website.
  • Curate relevant content from industry sources to share, providing value to followers and positioning SteelCo as an industry thought leader.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media platforms promptly and professionally.
  • Engage with followers, industry influencers, and potential customers to build relationships and foster community growth.
  • Manage social media contests, giveaways, and other interactive campaigns to boost engagement and brand visibility.
  • Track, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics, including reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversion rates.
  • Use data insights to refine strategies and optimize social content for better performance and ROI.
  • Conduct A/B testing for post types, formats, and timing to determine the most effective approaches.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • 3-5 years experience as a Content Marketing / Social Media / Digital Marketing Specialist and/or similar role.
  • Strong understanding (and execution) of SEO best practices, ranking factors, and experience with keyword research and SEO analysis tools.
  • Proficient in WordPress and basic HTML/CSS knowledge for content updates.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, SEMRush, YoastSEO, and/or similar tools.
  • Proficient in Adobe Indesign, Illustrator, or Canva for graphic design.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills; proficient in a project management tool like ClickUp (currently used), Asana, WorkFront, or similar.
  • Strong track record in technical writing and engaging content creation for niche industry types.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and generate innovative ideas.

Nice To Haves:

  • Intermediate skills in email marketing and proficient in ZohoCampaigns, Mailchimp, Hubspot or similar ESP.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in WordPress with plug-ins, landing page design and UX, website speed, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in technical SEO and website speed optimization.
