Job Description:
As the SAP S/4 Data Migration Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the data migration process from SAP to S/4HANA.
You will play a critical role in ensuring that cross over activities related to all the workstreams (F2S, P2P, R2R and O2) are accurately captured holistically.
Along with the alignment, of the workstream, the resource should be able to provide a bird’s eye view of how all the into the new SAP S/4HANA system in collaboration with the End Client's global team and the Global Data Migration Playbook.
This role will need to be able to be on-site in Clark, NJ at least 3 days a week.
All meetings are camera-on.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive data migration strategy and plan for the SAP S/4HANA implementation using the Global Data Migration Playbook as your foundation.
2. Lead a team of data migration specialists and coordinate their activities to ensure timely and accurate data migration by validating workplans weekly to ensure they are managing activities and deliverables with discipline.
3. Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, Global Data Team, Application PMs and external partners (Syniti) to gather data migration requirements and define data mapping rules.
4. Design data migration scripts, programs, and tools to extract, transform, and load data from legacy systems into SAP S/4HANA and Applications.
5. Perform and organize activities related to data profiling, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the migration process. Establish rules of engagement for data activities including the necessary governance processes.
6. Monitor data migration progress, with established KPI reporting, identify issues or bottlenecks and communicate/document observations, recommendations, owners, and timing, and implement corrective actions to stay on schedule and within budget.
7. Conduct data migration testing and validation to verify the accuracy and completeness of migrated data in partnership with the Global Team and the local Business Owners.
8. Make recommendations to the Global data migration playbook and related tools and processes, including procedures, guidelines, and best practices for future reference.
9. Work closely with the other project workstream teams to ensure tasks and activities are documented and executed to ensure smooth migration of data.
10. Support testing phases with engagement during defect management to resolve defects at the root cause. Also engage with hyper-care activities to resolve data issues.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
2. Proven experience (10+ years) in leading data migration projects, preferably in SAP environments.
3. Prior experience working with Syniti data migration tools required, as well as other various tools and solutions that apply to SAP data migration implementations (BODS, MDG, etc.)
4. In-depth knowledge of SAP data migration tools, methodologies, and best practices.
5. Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA data structures, data objects, and data migration processes. Master Data Management (MDM) based on TIBCO EBX
6. Strong proficiency in SAP Data Services, Power BI / Looker, APIs, or other ETL tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, must be fluent in English, understanding French is a plus.
8. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
9. SAP certification in data migration or related areas is desirable.
10. Must be able to travel to client location at least 3 full days a week and more depending on phase of the project.

5. Stay updated on SAP S/4HANA data migration trends, tools, and technologies.
6. Mentor and coach junior team members to build a high-performing data migration team.
7. All meetings will be on-camera if virtual, must have a published agenda that includes goal of the meeting, the required decision makers, the open action items. Similarly, all meetings must have meeting minutes documented to include attendees, action times and timelines.
