Job Description:

  • We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join our team in a remote capacity.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft data tools, database design, and process optimization, and will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets to provide actionable insights.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in building data pipelines, developing reports, and implementing process improvements.


Mandatory Requirements:

  • Microsoft Data Analyst Certification (Proof required with response)

  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification (Proof required with response)

  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Proof required with response).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage large ad-hoc and scheduled data extractions using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for a variety of structured and non-structured data sources.

  • Design and implement physical database structures, operational data stores, and data marts based on logical data models and metadata documentation.

  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements, including automation of manual processes and optimization of data delivery for greater scalability and efficiency.

  • Build and optimize data pipelines, ensuring high data quality and performance.

  • Use programming languages (C#, Python, Java, T-SQL) to support data extraction and analysis efforts.

  • Elicit and document business requirements, collaborate with stakeholders, and understand business workflows to develop solutions that meet organizational needs.

  • Manage priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely delivery of projects and responsiveness to changing requirements.


Skills and Experience:
Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), including the design and implementation of large data extractions used for reporting, BI development, dashboards, etc.

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing physical database structures, including operational data stores and data marts based on logical data models.

  • 5+ years of experience in identifying, designing, and implementing internal process improvements, particularly with the automation of manual processes and optimizing data workflows.

  • 3+ years of experience with programming and scripting languages such as C#, Python, Java, or T-SQL for supporting data extraction and analysis.


Business and Communication Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in managing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with proven methods for managing conflicting requirements and deadlines.

  • 3+ years of experience in eliciting and documenting business requirements, with a clear understanding of business workflows and processes.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with large-scale data extraction, processing, and reporting for executive or operational decision-making.

  • Experience working with Azure technologies and integrating them with on-premise solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.


Education & Certifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (Proof required).

  • Microsoft Data Analyst certification and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification (Proof required).
