Position : CREATIVE CONTENT DESIGNER Date Revised: November 25, 2024 Reports to : Pastoral Assistant Location : The Catholic Center 800 West Loop 820 South Fort Worth, Texas 76108-2919 The Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas includes 90 Parishes, 1 Mission, and 19 schools. It stretches from Quanah, Texas just Northwest of Wichita Falls in the West and extends to Penelope, Texas in the Southeast. Its largest metropolitan areas are Fort Worth, Arlington, Denton, and Wichita Falls. It has approximately 914,556 Catholics in the Diocese, including 108 Priests, 86 Deacons, and 77 Sisters. The principal duty of all employees is to assist in the mission of the Catholic Diocese of Fort Worth, Texas. General Position Summary: Developing and managing content for social media platforms such as Facebook, Flocknote, Instagram and other digital platforms. Principal Accountabilities: Create a social media calendar. Create social media communications for the Administration Department and the other departments of the parish and key ministries. (5 - 7 Media Posts/Flyers weekly) Monitor all parish social media outlets for comment appropriateness while communicating church teaching, evangelizing and directing users to parish resources. Build a strong relationship with parish departments and programs with the idea of helping, advising and advocating social media use and cross promotion as well as creating engaging social post that highlights liturgical celebration, events, diocesan, parish and school events. Responsible for all other projects, tasks, etc., as assigned. Typical Decisions and/or Recommendations Made in This Position: Makes decisions regarding terminology, changing content, adding content, mechanics. Supervision Given and/or Received: Approval of content by program coordinators/directors. Internal Contacts: Pastor Pastoral Assistant Parish Department Directors/Coordinators Ministry Leaders External Contacts: Non-Parish Ministries Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements: This position works in a typical office environment but is subject to stress due to the evolving and quickly expanding business needs, tight deadlines and heavy workloads. Travel Requirements: No travel required. Education and Experience Preferred: Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, design, or related field. Creative Content Design certificate. Knowledge and Skills Preferred: Writing and editing excellence. Collaboration and teamwork. Time management and prioritization. Familiar with social media platforms.
