Peace Industries, Inc (dba Spotnails), an award-winning distributor of pneumatic stapling tools, collated fasteners, and replacement parts, headquartered in Rolling Meadows IL, is seeking a Controller to join our team, help us continue to build a fantastic workplace, and help our customers grow their businesses.

Reporting directly to the CFO, as a Controller you will partner with our other team members to provide timely and accurate financial reporting so leaders can make well-informed decisions. You will also provide leadership and work on significant projects (i.e. ERP conversion) that will change the landscape of the organization. And for the right candidate, advancement opportunities exist.

To the qualified Controller we offer:

• $120,000 - $160,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience

Primary duties of the Controller :

• Compiling, analyzing, troubleshooting, and reporting financial data
• Collaborating on special database compilation and analysis projects using Excel/Access/Crystal Reports
• Various state tax reporting and compliance tasks
• Ownership of P&L reports
• Assisting with cost accounting transactions, maintenance, and procedures
• Working on ERP migration, paper to paperless migration, SOP’s
• Oversee various accounting department staff

Requirements for the Controller :

• Alignment with our company values
• BA in Accounting/Finance; 4-10 years in public and/or industry accounting
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail
• Adept at leading and directing other team members
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
