JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated CAD Technician to join our design and engineering teams. This role involves creating, updating, and managing technical drawings and 3D models using CAD software, with a specific focus on UAV and aerospace design. The CAD Technician will play a crucial role in the development and execution of our technical projects

Key Responsibilities:

• • Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings from design specifications, sketches, and verbal instructions.
• • Assist in translating concepts into technical schematics and layouts. • Review and revise models and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• • Model existing components through reverse engineering.
• • Maintain drawing files, CAD libraries, and document control systems.
• • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility.
• • Support prototyping and manufacturing with production-ready documentation.
• • Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
• • Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• • Certification or coursework in CAD, Drafting Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred. High School graduates with 1+ years of experience are welcome.
• • Proficiency in CAD software, with a preference for Autodesk Inventor, but SolidWorks is also acceptable.
• • Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical documentation.

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• • Knowledge of simulation tools or rendering software.
• • Familiarity with additive manufacturing (3D printing) file preparation, machine operation, and post-processing.
• • Experience in aerospace, particularly UAV design, is preferred.
