A partner of Insight Global is looking for a Cobol/Mainframe programmer to join their team. In this role, you will be helping this client move from their legacy mainframe system (xgen) to a new SQL environment. The main tasks of this role are maintaining and updating the existing code to ensure the systems are running smoothly and will transition smoothly. You will work on debugging and troubleshooting withing the Cobol programs. Documentation is a big part of this role as you will be writing and updating documentation for the code and systems and will work with other developers, system analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and to deliver for the future migration project. Compensation: $40hr to $50hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages while on contract for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
