The Cloud Architect is responsible for architecting global solutions that streamline access and use of cloud resources while consolidating IT infrastructure, automating workloads, and pursuing next-generation innovation. The individual in this role remains hands-on and leads by example. The Cloud Architect brings clarity to complexity and demonstrate smart ways to simplify. This role requires a leader and mentor, setting excellent examples for the local teams and business partners. The Cloud Architect will have a firm grasp of data center infrastructure systems, Microsoft Azure and the implementation of large-scale projects to the cloud. The Cloud Architect must thrive in fast-paced environments, be able to manage through ambiguity and complexity, invent and simplify processes, and simultaneously support multiple projects impacting a growing global organization. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills and the ability to identify and eliminate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate, and make tradeoffs, and balance business needs versus technical constraints. Maturity, curiosity, creative problem solving, and team leadership are all essential to success in this role. Responsible for collaborating with IT Leadership, Enterprise IT Architects and IT engineering peers, and key business partners in developing the principles and guidelines for the future-state Cloud IT architecture in alignment with the strategic goals of the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Produce architecture designs and solutions for building and maintaining cost-efficient, scalable, and secure cloud environments for a global organization
- Enable application teams to deliver business outcomes with speed, knowing the foundation will be resilient and secure.
- Provide leadership on infrastructure migration methodologies and techniques, including mass application/system movements into the cloud, e.g., implementation of Azure within global enterprise environments
- Provides expertise of architecture best practices and integrates broad working knowledge to provide maturity and risk assessments for key technologies and capabilities.
- Establish cloud computing templates and implementation guidance for applications that leverage IaaS and PaaS solutions to meet business use cases.
- Factors in security, data management and internal processes, designing and advocating for methods that align to scaling across multi-region and global cloud architecture.
- Designs with operations in mind. Looks for ways to automate tasks and improve operations.
- Demonstrates ability to coach team members around best practices for delivering high performant and scalable solutions.
- Assists application designers with the development of application architectures that follow our enterprise guidelines and effectively address functional application requirements
- Educates others within the IT organization on industry trends and on relevant new/emerging technologies
- Interacts with technology vendors and industry groups to understand the global business environment and apply this knowledge to help guide our application development activities

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field and 10 years of professional experience or 14 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree
Experience: - 8+ years of experience in several of the following areas: Data Center infrastructure systems (Active Directory, Networking, SAN), database architecture, business intelligence, big data, machine learning, advanced analytics
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise architecture
- 3+ years of relevant experience in cloud architecture including d esigning, implementing, and managing workloads in AWS, Azure, or similar cloud-based platform
Skills/Knowledge: - Understanding of modern computer and cloud computing technology and security services
- Technical expertise in Windows O/S, VMWare, Microsoft Azure, SaaS, Hyper-V, PowerShell
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results
- Deals positively with high levels of uncertainty, ambiguity, and shifting priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with all levels of the organization
- Constructively presents, discusses, and debates alternatives along with being a thought leader to solve business problems through technology

Working Conditions and/or Physical Requirements: - Working conditions associated with normal office environment.

- Ability to traverse between multiple locations in Ohio and Pennsylvania as needed.
- Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and quantitative productivity standards.
