ECM Consultants, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil Structural Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Structural Engineer, you will be involved in the planning, design, and construction oversight of various civil engineering projects. We are looking for an individual with a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, design, and oversee the construction of civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, utilities, and waste water systems.
  2. Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and constraints.
  3. Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates for project proposals and construction documents.
  4. Utilize engineering software tools for design and analysis, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  5. Coordinate with project stakeholders including clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project objectives are met.
  6. Perform H & H analysis.
  7. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  8. Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
  9. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and support staff.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in civil engineering.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  2. Professional Engineer (PE) license for State of Louisiana required or ability to become one quickly required.
  3. Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in structural engineering.
  4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation preferred, GIS, ArcGIS, and other relevant software and other engineering software tools.
  5. Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and construction techniques.
  6. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  7. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  8. Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
  9. Experience with project management software is a plus.
  10. Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable design principles is desirable.
