Salary Range: $62-$65K

What’s a typical day as an AutoCAD Drafter? You’ll be:

• Meeting with project managers, architects, designers, and engineers to discuss design ideas
• Developing product designs from scratch
• Presenting rough design drafts for client approval
• Ensuring product designs meet required safety and structural standards if applicable
• Generating Solid and Surface CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit software
• Blending technique and aesthetics to create final designs
• Presenting various design perspectives for construction improvements and adaptations
• Finalizing AutoCAD models
• Utilizing a CAD workstation to prepare difficult and complex drawings
• Interpreting and ensuring conformance to applicable standards and codes, as well as company policies and procedures
• Understanding and utilizing more advanced software to complete assignments, if necessary
• Compiling data and performing dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings
• Committing to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking, and improved results
• Establishing and maintaining cooperative and productive relationships with all team members
• Creating drawings with input from designers and engineers
• Incorporating red line changes in existing drawings, as directed by designers and engineers
• Assisting project team in meeting client expectations and schedules

• Have AutoCAD Drafting experience
• Possess advanced knowledge of CAD and AutoCAD software
• Have knowledge of Mathematics, Science, Engineering, and Architecture
• Have excellent technical design skills
• Have good communication skills
• Have a keen eye for aesthetics and detail
• Have 3D modeling experience
• Pay attention to details and use drawing standards
• Have a College Degree or Trade/Vocational Degree or Certificate for Drafting and Design
• Have construction industry experience
