Job Description

New Century Auto Group is a family-owned automotive dealership based in Southern California. We are seeking a talented and experienced AR/AP Clerk to join our North Hollywood, California, team. AP/AR, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations in the automotive industry. This is a full-time, individual contributor position that offers a competitive salary in the range of $25 to $30 per hour, commensurate with experience. *Job Description* As our AP/AR clerk, you will be responsible for entering invoices into the accounting system and issuing payments. Verifying statements and transactions, reconciling accounts payable and receivables. You will reconcile credit card statements. You will handle the billing and equitable distribution of shared costs among our family of dealerships. We need someone willing to work hard and take on challenging tasks. You’ll help provide outstanding back-office support to our dealerships so they can focus on serving our customers. Candidates will like this position if they like working with people, pay great attention to detail, have a strong accounting background, and enjoy semi-regular routines. Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain all financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
• Prepare and maintain financial statements, including expense sheets
• Verify and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Manage accounts payable and receivable aging reports and ensure timely payments from customers
• Assist with budget preparation and analysis
• Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including tax laws and company policies
• Assist with the preparation of expense sheets and financial reports for management
• Update and maintain accounting and financial records using accounting software
• Other accounting and finance duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an AR/AP clerk, preferably in the automotive industry
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

• Skills & Qualifications*

Familiarity with software such as CDK, QuickBooks, Word, and Excel. * Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment. * Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Must be organized and have excellent attention to detail. * A bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting a plus.
