About Me

The next time you go grocery shopping, pick up a package of flour and a bag of sugar.

Heavy, aren’t they?

Together they’re equal to about 2 lbs, and I’ve been losing this amount of weight steadily each and every week since making a few changes to my daily routine and diet.

In this blog I want to share with you some small and easy changes I’ve made that have helped me lose this weight at a steady, safe and sustainable rate.

There are literally hundreds of diets out there that promise better and quicker results than 2 lbs per week. So why listen to what I have to say? Simple. This isn’t a about a specific diet. There’s no deprivation, no insane exercise regimes and, best of all, there’s no crazy fad.

Just advice from someone who’s been there.

Fad diets are the ‘in’ thing, and have been for a number of years. They lure us in by telling us if we eat nothing but grapefruit for 6 months we’ll be skinny, or if we only eat cotton balls for a year we’ll lose half our body weight. Of course, they’re right. They’re also completely ridiculous and the less said about them the better.

For the select few who do manage to complete a fad diet and reach their goal weight, that’s the end of their weight battle, right? Absolutely not. Far from it.

Actually, as research indicates two thirds of us who follow a dedicated weight loss diet will put the weight back on (and sometimes more!) within 5 years.

I don’t know about you, but that’s not a risk I want to take.

Heart disease, hypertension, diabetes and cancers are just a handful of conditions that we’re more at risk of if we’re overweight. In fact, studies looking at the effects of obesity have found that even a modest amount of excess weight can increase heart-related diseases by 27%.

In addition to all these health benefits, losing weight can also help to make us look and feel fantastic. After all, is there a better feeling than waking up one morning and neatly slipping into a pair of jeans a size smaller than usual?

So that’s why I’m here. To help you reach your goal is a safe and natural way.

Also, I’d love for you to be in touch and share your own insights on this blog.

I’ll be listening 🙂
